Common Questions & Answers
Do you still have questions about our service? Read below to view our most commonly asked questions!
What paperwork do I need to get started?
- NTBO
- NOC
- Copy of your permit
Most municipalities use a generic NTBO form. However, some counties are specific to that county ( just like a NOC form ) . We have to address this case by case. You will see on the NTBO form that it is a lot like the NOC form, requiring a signature from the owner - or - owner's representative. So, if you have the permit and NOC already filed, you, as the contractor, can sign the NTBO form, which must also be notarized.
How long does it take to start my inspections?
Once the NTBO has been processed by the jurisdiction, we need 24 hours to notify the county of the intent to inspect and can do the inspection the next day.
Who will be my inspector?
It depends on where your project is located. We have different inspectors who handle different locations based on the project's jurisdiction. You'll benefit from one inspector to deal with for all inspections – with direct communication with that inspector.
How much do private inspections cost?
Generally, a standard residential or commercial project costs around $175-$200 per trip.
